We offer both individual and couples therapy in a supportive and safe environment that allows you to truly express what you need and your vision or your life. If you are finding it difficult to find that vision that is absolutely ok! That is why we are here - to help you understand you. Our services are offered mainly through an online telehealth platform so you can access help when and where you need it and where you feel comfortable to talk.

Individual Therapy

We provide individual therapy for a range of mental health conditions including depression, anxiety, posttraumatic stress disorder, panic disorder and phobias, issues with substance use and addiction, and many others. We can also help you work through significant life changes, grief and loss and other life challenges to help you adjust. â€‹We will work with you to complete a comprehensive assessment, provide a diagnosis if needed, and then engage in therapy that will best benefit you.

We specialise in providing services for:

  • Women in mid-life, helping them navigate the changes and challenges associated with perimenopause and menopause.

  • Those who have experienced trauma, helping them regain quality of life and a sense of self.

  • Veterans and their families.

A wide range of therapeutic approaches can be helpful including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Interpersonal Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, Dialectical Behavioural Therapy, Schema Therapy and Psychodynamic Therapy. Your therapist will work with you to understand what approach will best meet your needs and help you reach your goals.

Costs are $220 per session. There is a Medicare rebate of $98.95 available for those who have a Mental Health Treatment Plan from their GP.  Note that the Australian Psychological Society recommended fee for a psychologist in 2024 – 25 is $311 for a 45-60 min consultation.

Couples Therapy

All relationships have good times and not so good times and sometimes we arrive at a point where we know we need a little help. Whether you are seeking a way to be closer to each other, to find the connection and passion you once shared, or to work through past hurts or betrayals to find each other again couples therapy can help. No relationship will be free from challenges – it is how we learn to talk about them and hear each other that makes all the difference.

We use the Gottman Method of Couples Therapy which is designed to help teach specific skills and tools to deepen the friendship and intimacy in your relationship, help you appreciate your relationship’s strengths and to gently navigate through its vulnerabilities.

Early in your couples therapy journey, you will be given some questionnaires to complete that will help us better understand your relationship. Most of the work will involve sessions where you will be seen together as a couple but there may be times when individual sessions are recommended. The length of therapy will be determined by your specific needs and goals with the ultimate aim of teaching you ways to navigate every challenge life may throw at your relationship and for us to say good-bye.

Couples therapy can be an absolute game changer. Let us help you open the door to the life you seek together.

Costs are:

 - Gottman Connect Relationship Assessment - $100

 - Couples Therapy Sessions - $300 per session

Medicare rebates are not available for Couples Therapy. Please check your private health care entitlements to see if private rebates apply.

For Women in Mid-Life

So you've arrived at mid-life. We expected this to be a time of accomplishment, contentment, mastery, security and wisdom but it feels like the world has fallen off it’s axis.

For most of us we are juggling jobs, home, kids, parents, extended families, partners, friends, finances – life feels full of demands and responsibilities. But where once we would face each new challenge with flair and a calm ease now the littlest thing seems to rattle us. You may already be noticing some of the physical symptoms of perimenopause – the hot flashes, joint pain, insomnia, headaches, fatigue, and oh yes the weight gain. But it is likely that a long list of psychological symptoms have already hit you well and truly before this – irritability, crippling anxiety, mood swings, overwhelm, the inability to deal with stress, teariness, brain fog, memory loss, confusion – the list goes on!

Perimenopause heralds one of the most significant transitions women will encounter in life and it can unsettling when your body and mind no longer feel familiar. We can help. With specialist training in supporting both women in midlife and couples we can help you feel seen, understood and empowered during this time. Our evidence-based therapy provides a safe space to slow down, make sense of the changes, and reconnect with yourself.

For Veterans and First Responders

A life serving your community and country is a unique one. It comes with a sense of pride and belonging as well as the reward of knowing you have left the world a better place every day. But is can also come with its own unique set of challenges.

Whether you have been exposed to traumatic events and scenes or have lost your sense of self on leaving a service we can help you regain your identity, your purpose and thrive again in life.

For those who have experienced trauma through their service - be it veterans, emergency service personnel or enlisted personnel - we know that PTSD is all too common. We also know that repeated exposure to traumatic circumstances comes with additional complications that result in difficulties with emotions (and in particular anger), relationship difficulties and sometimes a persistent negative view of yourself and the world around you. This is not you and we can help.

With in depth knowledge of PTSD and complex PTSD and specialised training in how to help we can help you find you again and thrive in your world.

What to Expect

It can be daunting to seek help – especially if this is your first time accessing therapy. This is completely normal and you can be reassured our job is to help you feel safe and comfortable to tell your story – including the difficult parts.

Therapy will be via telehealth - this is a great way for you to feel comfortable in your own environment and makes sure you can access care no matter where you are. All you need to do is make sure you have a quiet space where you are free to talk openly and won't be interrupted.

All individual therapy session are scheduled for 60 minutes and you can expect your time with your therapist to run for 45-50 minutes. This gives your therapist time to plan for how best to help you, write any notes and correspond with people involved in your care such as your GP.

Couples therapy sessions run a little longer and are scheduled for 90 minutes. Just like an individual session you can expect to spend around 70 – 75 minutes with your therapist with the remaining time dedicated to planning for your care.

We are looking forward to hearing your story and helping you navigate your life. When you feel you are ready to talk fill out the form and we will be in touch to arrange an appointment.

Let us know what you need.
